“The Novartis Foundation”

The Novartis Apartment Complex offers a different kind of living. It follows the approach of the existing office building by creating spaces that seem endless and transparent in a very real and functional way.

Fundamentally, the building is built on the premise of fostering communication between museum art and its artists. This is physically realized by housing the Novartis Foundation in the basement, which serves as a cultural anchor for the artists’ apartments located directly above. These smartly designed apartments allow unlimited creativity for their occupants by giving them the space, light, and air to create. All of this is coated in a pharmaceutical aesthetic reminiscent of Novartis’s past.
